Farm Fresh Vegetables

     The heart of our farm has always been our ever expanding vegetable garden.  What started as a hobby for ourselves has grown into a several acre garden that provides a huge variety of fresh picked vegetables for the two farmers markets we attend weekly thru the growing season.  

     We take a tremendous amount of pride in our vegetable production.  The work begins in the winter when the seed catalogs roll in and Tony labors for hours researching what he thinks will be the highest quality and best tasting varieties.  Every vegetable is started right here on the farm from seed, then transplanted into the garden where our family spends many hours each day weeding and watering until they are ready to be harvested for market.

      Because we grow everything from seed we are able to have a extensive range of vegetables.  We seek out unique varieties and experiment growing new things you just can't find at the grocery store.  Our customers know they can always find what they need in season and usually see something new and exciting to try each week.

     There are some crops we try to specialize in and those include our peppers, tomatoes, onions, and potatoes.  The peppers are one of our favorite crops to grow.  We typically have several varieties of sweet peppers like Italian frying peppers, red and green bell peppers, and tasty sweet giant marconi peppers.  But Tony's greatest joy is his hot peppers.  He not only grows the hottest ones he can find seeds for like California Reapers and Ghost peppers, but he has also bred some of his very own unique varieties you can only find with us.  

     To make our peppers even that more exciting several years ago we added the service of fire roasting peppers fresh at the market for you!  Our special varieties of New Mexico peppers can't be beat in the roaster and are highly sought after at market.

     Tomatoes also are one of our customers favorite things.  We plant several heirloom varieties each year which are not only beautiful but totally packed with flavor.  When they are in season you can expect to find a rainbow assortment of delicious heirloom and hybrid tomatoes.  For all you who enjoy canning and preserving great tasting tomatoes to enjoy year round we offer roma tomatoes in larger quantities for great prices.  Our varieties are packed with flavor, are meaty not full of liquid, and have few seeds, perfect for all sorts of sauces and salsas!
