Moving from the city and buying a farm was always our dream, and in 2000 it became our reality when we moved to beautiful Monroe, Wi. We began by growing a few vegetables on a small plot, but as we quickly found our passion for growing food our garden rapidly grew to 3 acres and dozens of vegetable varieties. We had found our first dream job of starting a market garden. We now attend 2 local markets a week and take tons of fresh produce which brings us joy when it is quickly bought up by hungry shoppers.
After a few short years of living on the farm and dreaming of different ways we could grow and diversify what we do, another idea was born. Start a goat dairy! While neither of us ever milked an animal or had a clue what to do, we did everything we could to learn and in 2002 we started up our dairy herd and began shipping milk. We now have a high producing herd of 150 goats and weekly our milk gets picked up and taken to Montchevre in Belmont Wi where it is turned into delicious goat cheese.
We are so grateful to our community for coming out weekly to shop with us and support what we do. We will continue to work hard and supply you with the best vegetables we possibly can!
We want to make your shopping experience as simple and comfortable for you as we possibly can. We are adding an online store this year so that you can order your veggies and soap ahead for quick pick up at the farmers market or arrange for pickup at the farm.
